Mary Mara ER and Ray Donovan actress dead at age 61
Mary Mara has passed on after purportedly suffocating in the St. Lawrence River. She was 61.
Mary Mara, an actress best known for her roles in "ER" and "Ray Donavan," has died, her manager Craig Dorfman said in a statement. He is 61 years old.
"Mary is one of the best actresses I've ever met. I remember seeing her perform on Broadway's Crazy Forest in 1992.
She's electric, funny, and a real person. Everyone loves him. He will be missed.
Officials responded to a call about a "probable drowning" at around 8:10 a.m. local time on Sunday, according to a press release from the New York State Police.
Troops and firefighters and ambulances in Cape Vincent arrived on the scene and "found a woman dead in the St Lawrence River," the statement said.
According to the initial investigation, the victim drowned while swimming," police said.
There were no signs of bad behavior, police added in a statement. Jefferson County Court is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, police said.
Mara's films include Mr. Saturday Night” and “Love Potion 9”. His most recent award went to the 2020 film Break Even.
